The day to day: 
The Field Service Engineer role involves ensuring the safe and timely delivery of allocated work, reporting completion to company procedures and the satisfaction of the customer and company. Jobs are typically assigned 3-4 weeks in advance. The main responsibilities of the role include attending breakdowns, servicing, installing, and commissioning various company machinery nationwide.

  • Attend breakdowns and conduct service, installation, and commissioning of products.
  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of work.
  • Working with various inverters, drives pneumatics and various motors within FMCG industrial machinery.
  • Reading engineering schematics and drawings.
  • Travel and stay away from home.

A successful field service engineer application:

  • The Field Service Engineer must hold a relevant engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 and equivalent in electrical engineering.
  • My client will review all applications from Engineers looking to move into a service role however they are looking for an experience field service engineer who enjoys travelling.
