Justteachers is recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEND Support Worker to join one of our partnered primary schools in LS28. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to providing inclusive support and ensuring all pupils can access their education in a safe and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across KS1 and KS2.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual learning and behavioural needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiated planning and lesson delivery.
  • Encouraging independence and self-confidence in pupils with SEND.
  • Promoting positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation.
  • Working closely with the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to implement and review EHCPs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children who have SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and SEMH.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive classroom practices.
  • A nurturing, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting pupils.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
