About the Role

As a Teacher of Biology, you will be a vital part of a dedicated Science Department, inspiring students through dynamic teaching in Biology. You will teach Biology up to Key Stage 4, ensuring all lessons are well-planned, engaging, and aligned with the curriculum. Working closely with the Head of Department, you will contribute to the academic success of the students and support their personal development.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and other staff to share best practices.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings.
  • Support students in preparing for assessments and exams.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the lab and classroom.
