What do we require?

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Science curriculum.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Your main duties include:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work to ensure progress and attainment.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop student's practical skills through interactive experiments and demonstrations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE exams with targeted interventions.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance.
  • Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Encourage students to participate in extra-curricular science clubs and activities.
