About The Role:We are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work at a school in Leeds, supporting students in the Pathway provisions. This specialist provision is designed to offer targeted support to students who struggle to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.

Position Details
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full time role (Starting ASAP)
Pay Rate: £95 - £140 per day
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with students with challenging behaviour.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, psychology, or a related field

- Good communication skills with the ability to adapt your language to avoid misinterpretation.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work under guidance.
- Resilience and the ability to handle difficult situations with confidence.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- An understanding of trauma-informed approaches would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for students with behavioural and emotional difficulties.
- Deliver small group interventions to improve behaviour, social skills, and engagement.
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with students.
- De-escalate challenging situations using appropriate strategies.
- Support students in developing emotional regulation skills.
- Work closely with the Behaviour Lead and teaching staff to implement support plans.
- Monitor student behaviour and contribute to individual behaviour plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage students to take responsibility for their actions.
- Collaborate with external agencies and support services where required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents.
