About the RoleThis Behaviour Support Worker role is based in a specialist provision separate from the main school. The setting provides targeted intervention for students struggling to engage in mainstream education due to behavioural, social, or emotional challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with students, either 1:1 or in small groups, to support their development, emotional well-being, and behaviour management.
This is a rewarding but challenging role requiring patience, resilience, and strong communication skills. You will play a vital role in fostering positive behaviour and helping students reintegrate into mainstream education where possible.

Pay Rate: £95 - £140 per day
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
- A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Empathy and understanding of the issues affecting young people.
- A firm but fair approach to behaviour management.
- Awareness of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Good organisational skills to track student progress and incidents.
Responsibilities
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide tailored behavioural support.
- Implement behaviour plans and strategies under the direction of senior staff.
- Help students regulate emotions and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
- Provide guidance and reassurance to students in moments of distress or crisis.
- Support students with social and emotional development.
- Promote a safe, structured learning environment.
- Encourage respect and positive peer relationships.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly.
- Maintain high expectations and reinforce school policies consistently.
