This role will be challenged to improve our Commercial & operational ways of working, provide insights for our internal and external stakeholders, and deliver profitable growth opportunities for the business.As Key Account Manager, you will enjoy a prominent role in our growth journey, consolidating the various strategies across our vertically integrated business and developing our service delivery to customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Create partnerships with our customers to deliver profitable sales and category growth.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets for assigned accounts. Identify, qualify, pursue, and capture opportunities to meet objectives ensuring the planning for and successful execution of tenders.
  • Customer Insights: Understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to provide tailored solutions. Become a trusted insights partner with our key customers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of business with key accounts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams ensure seamless delivery of products and services. Manage stakeholder engagement to ensure all departments are working together to add value to, and benefit from, our customer relationships.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on account performance, sales activity, and market insights to senior management.

Behaviours and Qualifications:

  • Expert salesperson, who can comfortably lead across high-priority accounts, and develop relationships with customers through expert negotiation, category leadership, mutual customer partnership and data & insights leveraging
  • A strong track record of effectively managing Key Accounts
  • Strong experience in management of budgets as well as trade revenue optimization delivering against budget and ROI.
  • Proven experience within the Produce industry experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent people management, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to find solutions to challenges in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively in order to visit suppliers worldwide
  • Advanced IT skills - especially planning software, Excel and Power Point
  • Clean UK/EU Driving Licence
  • Flexible with working hours to meet the demands of the company
