Facilities Manager

Are you an experienced Facilities Manager with a passion for maintaining operational excellence and a flair for managing multiple priorities? We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to oversee the maintenance, security, and infrastructure of two key sites in West Sussex

This role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking, ISO-certified organisation. You will ensure their buildings meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and functionality while supporting operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all facility PPMs, statutory inspections, and servicing of systems such as fire, intruder alarms, and CCTV to maintain compliance.
  • Work alongside the Facilities Technician to address ticket requests, conduct safety checks, and respond to emergencies.
  • Manage refurbishment projects, building moves, and facilities-related equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee contractor management, including obtaining quotes, raising POs, and managing ATW and PTW systems.
  • Maintain administrative tasks such as record-keeping, purchase requisitions, and invoice authorization.
  • Support the Operations Manager with annual strategic reviews, Capex budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a primary key holder and security contact for both sites, including emergency response.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of building management systems (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Fire, Intruder, CCTV).
  • Proven line management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and contractors.
  • Practical experience with facilities PPMs, project management, and safe use of tools and equipment.
  • A valid driving license and access to reliable transport (travel between sites required).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certifications to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, or MEWPs.
  • Physical fitness for tasks involving lifting, working at height, and manual handling.
