Our client a Civil Engineering Contractor based in West Sussex are looking for a Civil Engineer, to work on Design projects from climate adaptation and infrastructure projects. The Civil Engineer will receive a generous salary up to £35k + Car allowance or Salary Sacrifice Electric / Hybrid Car Scheme, company bonus, Private Healthcare and fantastic career development.

The Graduate Civil Engineer will be supporting the delivery of designs at tender stage, and at contract stage this will include including 3D, 4D and 5D modelling, GIS, computer-based design and visualisation

Design Engineer Job Overview
  • Produce working drawings using AutoCAD, Civils 3D Revit & Navisworks
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and external designers.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant procedures & provision of documentation for Quality, Environmental & Health & Safety (CDM Regulations).
  • Assess design risks with consideration in all designs of buildability, safety & environmental factors.
  • Ensure design information is of the right quality & keeps up to date with project timescales.
  • Provide cost effective technical solutions.
  • Delivering design drawings and supporting calculations for temporary and permanent works, including provision of calculations, drawings, specifications and documentation
  • Provide technical advice throughout the organisation, including product specifications and suitability of products, structural calculations and geotechnical analysis.
  • Be proactive and influential in the success of the company.
Design Engineer Job Requirements
  • HND or Degree in a Civil or Structural Engineering discipline
  • 0-3 years' experience on site and or in a design office environment
  • IT Microsoft Office skills -Evision, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Collaborator
  • Some knowledge of AutoDesk software packages, ideally; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Robot, Navisworks & Infraworks
  • Knowledge of B.I.M. and CDM Regulations and temp works as well as site safety management
  • Commercial awareness and some understanding of NEC3,4 & JCT contracts
  • Knowledge of compliance with QHSE legislation
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS Card
  • Temporary Works Coordinator would be advantageous
