Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist – West Sussex
Approach Personnel are proud to be with a growing and successful geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy to find a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join their West Sussex based team.
On offer is the chance for a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join a strong team working on projects ranging from small residential sites to larger, multi million pound commercial, industrial and residential contracts.
The Role
- Carrying out Phase 1 Desk Studies and Walkover Surveys
- Carrying out Phase 2+ Instrusive Investigations, Risk Assessments, Report Writing
- Conduction site visits to assess scope of works and gain understanding of needs
- Helping to manage the sampling and testing process, directing the collectuion, receipt, logging, storage, testing and disposal
- Working alongside the commercial team to determine cost estimate for clients and to manage project budgets
- Determining project feasibility based on collected information
The Person
- A degree at Bachelors level or higher in either Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or similar
- At least 2 years working in a similar role with either an engineering consultancy or site investigation based company
- Full UK Driving License
- Right to Work in the UK
- Driven attitude with a desire to learn and progress
