An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PCB Assembler to join a well-established company based in West Sussex. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role involves building and assembling electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret bills of materials and technical drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

PCB and Electro-Mechanical Assembly: Assemble electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products, accurately interpreting bills of materials and technical drawings.

Product Cleaning and Packing: Clean and pack products using COSHH substances, ensuring the use of appropriate PPE provided.

Documentation: Document non-compliance, rework records, stores requisitions, and any necessary build documentation changes.

Quality Management: Ensure familiarity with and adherence to relevant quality management practices, including static handling precautions and workmanship standards.

Housekeeping and Practices: Maintain and improve housekeeping and working practices to support a clean and efficient work environment.

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to the Company’s ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management System, as well as the Health and Safety Management System.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team to achieve departmental objectives, strive for continuous improvement in product quality and processes, and adopt lean initiatives to reduce waste.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Assembly Experience: Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering is essential.

Mechanical Assembly: Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.

Modern Manufacturing Techniques: Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques and best practices.

Communication Skills: Good communication skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Certifications: IPC standard certifications are advantageous but not required.
