Key Responsibilities
- Electronics Engineering: Circuit design expertise, component selection, and PCB technology. Projects involve areas such as EMC, power management, servo control, processor interfacing, and communications.
- Electrical Engineering: Skills in power and signal transmission over wired mediums, including the ability to define and review overall system architecture, focusing on power management, wiring, and production processes.
In this role, you will lead significant projects, establish engineering standards, and often serve as an expert in your field. You will collaborate with senior management, contribute to new business development, and support bids and proposals. Additionally, you will lead in the advancement of internal technology and apply technical expertise to R&D and project development.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Degree in a relevant discipline accredited by the IET, with at least 10 years of experience.
- Extensive experience in leading projects or teams.
- Strong foundation in electronics design theory and application.
- Skilled in analysis-based tasks such as circuit emulation and performance or power budget assessments.
- Capability to identify project risks, schedules, and critical design elements.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle, from bids to ongoing customer support.
- Proven innovative approach to engineering and leadership.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at PCB and system levels, identifying root causes or needed procedural changes.
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience in leading, managing, or mentoring teams.
- Knowledge of embedded software design (ARM/KEIL).
- Familiarity with EMC standards for military applications.
- Knowledge of motors, drive technology, and control system analysis.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as Python, Matlab, Simulink, LT-Spice, Simetrix.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project).
- Skilled in PCB design tools like Altium, Cadence OrCAD.
- Experience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis and resilience techniques.
- Understanding of design standards for electronics in harsh environments, typical of military equipment.
