Title: Sensor Fusion & Algorithm Engineer

Venn Group are seeking a Sensor Fusion and Algorithm Engineer to join their team, contributing to advanced sensor fusion, perception algorithms, and real-time tracking solutions that support applications in aerospace and defence.

This is a full-time position working hybrid on a permanent basis 

Main duties of the job:

  • Design, implement, and optimise advanced algorithms for sensor fusion, target tracking, and object classification across vision, radar and acoustic sensor data
  • Develop robust multi-sensor fusion models to deliver high-accuracy situational awareness and support the processing of multi-modal data
  • Explore the latest techniques in machine learning, data fusion, and tracking algorithms, implementing cutting-edge solutions
  • Ensure real-time performance and accuracy of fusion systems by refining and optimising algorithms to meet operational requirements
  • Design and conduct thorough testing and validation procedures for perception and fusion systems in both simulated environments and trials
  • Work collaboratively with hardware, software, and systems teams to integrate and fine-tune algorithms for reliable, high-performance systems

QUALIFICATION/ SPECIAL TRAINING

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • 5 Years experience in algorithm development, sensor fusion, or a similar role, ideally within Aerospace, Automotive, or Defence sectors
  • Strong proficiency in programming (Python, C++)
  • Deep understanding of data fusion techniques, sensor processing, and perception algorithms
  • Experience with radar, computer vision, and other sensing modalities; knowledge of signal processing and real-time systems
  • Experience in developing complex mathematical models and simulations
  • The ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Security clearance (Preferably SC)
