Pineapple Careers is proud to partner with a well-known organisation based on the outskirts of Horsham that is looking to recruit an Assistant Warehouse Manager on a full-time permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality processes and regulations
  • Oversee the booking in of components by part numbers and serial numbers, while ensuring certification and trace documentation are checked thoroughly
  • Maintain the highest standards in picking and packing, reflecting the quality expectations of the industry
  • Take responsibility for your own work and standards as well as those of more junior staff
  • Train and supervise team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Organise the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods while maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse
  • Handle queries quickly and effectively from other departments, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills
  • Communicate and liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stocktakes
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are always adhered to

Key Skills:

  • Aviation experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • A forklift licence is advantageous (training can be provided for expired licences)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with inventory management systems
  • A strategic thinker who can contribute to the future growth and efficiency of the department
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers

Salary & Benefits:

  • £35,000 - £38,000
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
  • Permanent position with opportunities for training and career progression

  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

  • Based on the outskirts of Horsham
