We are currently recruiting for a Production Controller to manage the planning, coordination, and control of all production activities. This role involves generating a requirements plan from Sales Order Information and collaborating with the supply chain team to organise purchases that meet customer demand and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate Production Requirements and Planning from Sales Order Information.
- Determine Purchasing and Production needs to meet project time lines and cost criteria.
- Plan overall manufacturing requirements across multiple projects.
- Organise kitting for shop-built assemblies, ensuring kits are ready for manufacture.
- Coordinate the purchase of necessary components with the Supply team.
- Oversee Purchasing progress.
- Prepare delivery documentation to ensure all customer order requirements are met.
- Liaise with Production/Manufacturing Engineering on procedures and problem-solving.
- Assist in planning for the internal Machine Shop.
- Prepare cost-to-date and cost-to-complete reports.
- Develop new procedures, methods, and flow diagrams for the MRP system.
- Ensure all documentation complies with BS EN9001 standards.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Desirable:
- HNC qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Production.
- Experience in production control within a highly regulated environment with electro-mechanical equipment.
- Background in an engineered-to-order/build-to-order production environment.
