We are seeking an experienced Materials Handler to join a dynamic team based in Horsham, West Sussex. This role involves managing the movement of materials, kitting parts for dispatch, and supporting the warehouse team with a focus on components. While a driving license is preferred due to the location, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, check, and book in materials using the company’s system.

  • Unload/load delivery vehicles using the company’s Fork Lift Truck (FLT).
  • Kit parts for manufacture, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation for dispatch.
  • Maintain stock, ensuring all items are labelled, stored securely, and organized efficiently.
  • Support daily cycle counts, stock minimization tasks, and maintain FIFO procedures for materials.
  • Contribute to maintaining the internal K-Bin replenishment systems and consumable racks.
  • Adhere to COSHH/ISO14001 regulations, ensuring proper disposal and recycling of materials.
  • Assist the Materials Team Leader with achieving departmental KPIs and supporting the 6-S program.

Requirements:

Experience working with materials handling, especially with components and kitting for manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with stock control, inventory management, and working within a warehouse environment.
  • Fork Lift Truck experience is a plus.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driving license: Preferred due to the location.
