Assembly Technician Location: StorringtonSalary: £12.50 starting rate, negotiable depending on experienceHours: Full-time, 8:30am-17:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototype Assembly: Build complex prototypes and small-batch products using techniques such as soldering, brazing, bonding, resin impregnation, electrical and mechanical measurement, all in line with engineering drawings and detailed procedures.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing and quality checks on components and finished assemblies, ensuring they meet rigorous standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other departments to offer feedback, solve technical challenges, and contribute to development.
  • Documentation: Accurately record assembly steps, modifications, and test results in line with internal quality and documentation standards.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiar with mechanical and electrical testing and measurement tools.
  • Practical experience in soldering, brazing, hand fitting, and general component assembly.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and eager to contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced development environment.
