We are looking for experienced Band 5/6 mental health nurses for one of the well-known Mental Health Trusts in South East England. The trust delivers care across various settings, including community teams, inpatient facilities, and specialized units. Their services support people of all ages, from children to older adults.

Description:

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disabilities), you will have at least six months of previous experience working in an inpatient mental health setting as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will have experience in carrying out a diverse range of duties, including the assessment, formulation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of nursing care that is evidence-based, person-centered, and recovery-focused.

Experience:

  • Registered Nurse - Mental Health / Learning Disability
  • Completion of Band 5 preceptorship program (evidence may be required from RNs who have been registered for less than 2 years or with gaps)
  • Ongoing registration with the NMC
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team structure
  • Experience assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs

Skills:

  • Demonstrates an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments, recovery principles, and person-centered care
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Care Programme Approach
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that these can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
