Our client based in Sussex near to Brighton have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised, and pro-active individual to join the Production team as a Production Controller.

This role reports to the Production Manager and is to assist the team in bringing in orders on schedule, on budget, and to the highest production standards.

You will work closely with sales, design and editorial colleagues as well as customers and suppliers in a small but very busy environment where no two projects are the same.

A long-established creator and publisher of highly illustrated books for children aged 2-10 years - everything from activity books to pop-ups.

They are passionate about producing outstanding books and related learning products to engage and entertain our readers around the world.

A strong work ethos and a long track record of creating fabulous books for the international co-edition market, direct to retail and also with a new UK trade list.

Ideally

- a degree or equivalent

- solid book production experience within book publishing; children’s colour trade experience desirable but not essential

- superb organisational skills

- an exacting eye for detail whilst working at pace

- strong numeracy skills

- strong, clear and concise communication skills to liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers

This is Mac-based company and ideally you will be able to use all the usual office applications.

This is a five day per week in-office post.
