Buyer

The successful Buyer responsible for the timely order placement, supply and expedition of raw materials, assemblies, and support services to maintain production. Managing select suppliers to ensure on time delivery while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximize turns.

• Preparation and distribution of weekly expedite reports to selected supply chain partners, ensuring that all respond, and data is entered into company ERP system.
• Analyses exception messages from ERP system, and places Purchase orders ensuring cost effective timely delivery.
• Preparation of document packs (electronic) in support of custom part order needs, (i.e., drawings, BOM's, Gerber files) ready to submit to supply chain partners.
• Manage selected suppliers to control inventories and ensure timely flow of material.
• Develop working knowledge of commodities and associated supplier base.

To be successful in this role of Buyer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
• Advanced Microsoft analytical skills desired but not essential.
• Experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts desirable.
• Upholds organisational values, works with integrity and ethically in all situations, and always treats others with respect and consideration, regardless of their status or position.
• Perseveres in accomplishing tasks or objectives and maintains a sense of urgency about getting results.
