We are looking for an experienced and proactive Buyer with a strong background in sourcing and procurement of electronic or electro-mechanical components. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, but due to the office location, the ability to drive is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the timely procurement of raw materials, assemblies, and support services to ensure continuous production.
- Liaise closely with Engineering, Sales, Planning, and Manufacturing to maintain a smooth flow of materials.
- Analyse ERP system messages, place purchase orders, and prepare necessary documentation.
- Manage selected suppliers to control inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental standards.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Either a CIPS qualification (or working towards) or a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Proven experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical components is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving license, as the office is inaccessible without a vehicle.
