The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations and deliver cost-effective, timely, and sustainable supply chain solutions. You’ll collaborate across departments to optimise material flow, manage supplier relationships, and develop a high-performing purchasing team to achieve business goals. Must have minimum of 10 years Management experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts and pricing, evaluate supplier performance, and build strong partnerships to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.
  • Procurement Excellence: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers while ensuring continuous supply and minimizing excess inventory.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Buyers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Drive lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the purchasing department.
  • KPI Development: Develop and monitor departmental KPIs to measure and improve performance.
  • Sustainability Commitment: Support the company’s environmental management goals, focusing on "Supply Chain Greening."

Requirements

  • Degree qualification and significant senior-level experience in electronics manufacturing procurement.
  • CIPS Level 6: Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply (essential).
  • At least 10 years of management experience with a proven track record of team leadership and achieving cost savings.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP and MRP tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience implementing lean procurement processes.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, with a commitment to sustainability.
