My client is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their rapidly growing company in Ashington.
The position offers a salary range of £28,000 to £30,000 and requires candidates to have welding experience, particularly in MIG welding.
Responsibilities include mild steel MIG welding for excavator attachments, conducting repairs, and some workshop machining.
Candidates should also have gas cutting experience, bucket repair experience preferred, and be forklift truck trained.

The Role: Welder/Fabricator

The Hours: Monday - Friday 08: 30 - 17:30

Location: Ashington

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Job role

Mild steel MIG welding for the manufacture of excavator attachments brackets
Occasional repairs to hire fleet and customer excavator attachments
Excavator bucket repairs
Some workshop machining - Lathe, bandsaw and pillar drill
Keep the workshop area allocated to the job function in a clean and tidy condition.
Ensure that the Company health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Candidate requirements:

Gas cutting experience required
Experience Welder
Bucket repair experience preferred
Forklift truck trained
Attention to detail
Able to work under own initiative but also a team player
