My client is a world-renowned packaging company and is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK and are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with an electrically biased background, with a mechanical element to their skill set.

Night Shift Engineer (Electrical)

£45,000 - £52,500 plus OT

Pulham St Mary

Hours – 22:00PM – 6:00AM Tue, Wed, Thurs.

                17:00PM – 10:30 PM - Fri

Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with Overtime which could earn you up to £50 - 60k plus, EAP, 25 days holidays plus bank and 6% Pension,  

The Maintenance Engineer will be dealing with installs, fault finding, breakdowns and general maintenance of their packaging equipment, which includes Casemakers, Corrugator, Boilers Colour and Die Cutters. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to put their own stamp on the company as well as working in a fast paced and growing environment.

Responsibilities include

  • Dealing with a great number of mechanical issues including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Dealing with electrical fault-finding issues inclusive or invertors and relays.
  • You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic,
  • Having further experience of dealing with wiring, re-wiring, changing of AC & DC motor Drives.
  • Commissioning of new machinery Breakdowns, service & installation
  • PLC fault finding experience. If you can deal with input, outputs and general HMI issues it would be advantageous.

Essential:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and must be used to dealing with preventative maintenance and breakdowns.
  • 2+ years’ experience in packaging or related industry
  • Experience of corrugated packaging machinery or similar is a major advantage
  • Strong electrical experience with a mechanical.
  • A related qualification up to level 3 in electrical engineering.
  • City & Guilds experience is welcome
