Position Overview
We are seeking two dedicated Storespersons to join our team in Bedhampton, reporting to the Stores Team Leader. The successful candidates will be responsible for kitting and issuing materials for Production areas (MRO and OEM) and other departments. This role includes receiving materials from vendors, ensuring accurate booking of goods, and managing inventory in packaging and dispatch areas.

Key Responsibilities
Main Stores Duties:

  • Issue materials for production per the schedule, completing necessary batch documentation for traceability.
  • Accurately pick parts from stores locations according to kitting requirements, ensuring correct batch numbers are documented.
  • Participate in daily cycle count activities and maintain a tidy stores area through consistent 5S practices.
  • Relocate and count piece parts to ensure accurate storage as part of the 'put away' process.
  • Timely picking of spare parts and assistance during the company's annual stock take.
  • Adhere to safety, manual handling, and health/environment regulations.
  • Maintain daily metrics of key functions and suggest improvements to eliminate non-value-added activities.


Goods Receiving Responsibilities:

  • Accurately receive items at Goods Inwards against paperwork and order specifications, entering details into the ERP system (target: 130 lines received per day).
  • Assist with unloading and inspecting piece parts, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.


Inventory Record Accuracy:

  • Support the maintenance of accurate inventory balances, ensuring parts identification, storage locations, and quantities are correct (target: 98% accuracy).
  • Contribute to daily cycle counts, investigating and rectifying errors, while maintaining data integrity and transactional traceability.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Actively engage in the continuous improvement program, enhancing supply chain and company functions.


Packing/Dispatch Responsibilities:

  • Pack products and spares for shipment, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and communicated to the shipping function promptly.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills.
  • Familiarity with packaging and packing requirements and procedures.
  • Knowledge of stores and shipping procedures.
