This amazing secondary school in Croydon, Surrey has a vibrant and supportive department which will allow you to have the opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific inquiry among our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and interactive Spanish lessons for students at various levels, including Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and experiment.
- Implement effective teaching strategies and methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Utilize innovative resources, technology, and practical demonstrations to enhance the learning experience and stimulate interest in Spanish.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and educational programs that align with national standards and promote academic excellence.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individualized learning goals through targeted interventions and enrichment activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and academic success.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities to contribute to the overall school community and personal growth
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Modern Foreign Languages or Spanish.
- Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education, innovation, and lifelong learning.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.
- Ability to adapt to changing educational trends, technologies, and pedagogies.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
