Seven Education are looking for a SEN Teaching assistant to work with the London Borough Of Bexley, this role is an ASAP start until December 2024, 19.5 hours per week paying £40.94 per hour via an umbrella company

The role:

To work under the instruction / guidance of teaching / senior staff to undertake work / care /support programmes, to enable access to learning for learners including those with special needs, to assist the teacher in the management of learners and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

We are looking to enhance our team of highly motivated Teaching Assistants to enable access to learning for learners with complex learning needs including ASD, SLD and PMLD with an Education Health Care plan progressing from Marlborough community special school. Learners require support with communication, self care, mobility and feeding.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in ensuring all learners' continuing educational development through establishing constructive relationships and contributing to Individual Education/Behaviour Plans.

Assist teachers in fostering attractive learning environments to ensure that learners spend their school life in stimulating surroundings.

Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist learners in use.

To ensure accurate records and observations are kept so that learners receive the maximum benefit from their education.

Administer routine tests and invigilate exams and undertake routine marking of learner's work. 

Mandatory requirements:

Must have had experience in similar role and experience with SEN
