Company Overview:

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a temporary basis. You will play a pivotal role in a new multi-million pound Power Transmission Framework project for SSE. As this role is at the Early Contractor Involvement stage, you will be joining the team from the outset and will see the project through to its successful completion. Your expertise will be crucial to the success of this venture.

What You Can Expect:

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Duration: Up to 6 months
  • Location: Outskirts of Glasgow, with work focused on transmission projects in the North of Scotland
  • Rate:  Competitive depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects within the power sector, ensuring cost control and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate cost forecasts, financial reports, and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Administer contracts and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters, resolving disputes and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
  • Previous experience on large-scale civil engineering or renewable projects.
