Job Description

Supervisory Management of warehouse operations and staff to include operating an effective and efficient Warehouse Management System.

Ensure continued safe and effective working environment.

Prioritise and manage goods in and out.

Allocate daily job roles to staff 

Supervise quality control and quality assurance on a day-to-day basis. Oversee goods inwards inspections, stock checks and inspections, release goods into stock, ensuring full compliance with purchase order specifications, reporting any non-conformances. Maintaining stock records and traceability of stock to manufacturing batches.


Manage a safe clean working environment.

Liaise with the Sales Team to understand priority of daily tasks and allocate jobs to warehouse staff.  

Undertake regular “on spot” inspections of warehouse operations to include, the inspection process of incoming and outgoing stock, packaging etc – to ensure staff are following correct quality assurance processes.

Supervise train and support warehouse staff, to ensure the efficient and effective running of the warehouse.

Allocate daily, weekly and monthly safety checks of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Report defects with warehouse equipment and vehicles.

Support management to implement and operate an effective and efficient Warehouse Management System.

Support continuous stock location improvements. Review old “unwanted” stock for bulk sale and or disposal.

Review space in pallets to support movement of stock to maximise space.

Prepare goods for dispatch and ensure they are supported with relevant paperwork.

Operate tools, forklift trucks, overhead crane, and other plant and lifting equipment in a safe manner, as trained and authorised. Deliver goods by company vehicle as necessary.
Quality Control

Inspect goods in and out for defects and to ensure compliance. Carry out and record inspection of stored materials, and issue Stock Non-conformance Reports if necessary

Identify non-conformities or potential non-conformities, carry out corrective action procedure, implement and evaluate preventative action.

Carry out PMI checks and PMI results for specific customer or order.

Check Materials Test Certificates comply with the requirements of the purchase order.

Check, validate, scan, record, and archive Test Certificates

Carry out regular calibration of measuring equipment, labelling equipment and maintaining Calibration Record.

Assess customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

General responsibilities

Supervise warehouse staff to create and maintain a fair, equal and friendly and environment.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional standards, establishing personal networks. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products.

Support the implementation of compliance with and monitoring of the companies Quality Assurance Certificates (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)

Continue to maintain and develop environmentally sustainable working practices 

Carry out duties in line with and support improvements of the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems

Undertake training deemed necessary to support the operation of the company.

Carry out any other, task deemed appropriate to the operation of the company

Achieve full customer satisfaction by supplying quality goods in a timely manner.

Supervisory management of an effective, safe and efficient warehouse environment, inc Environmental and Health and Safety matters.

Maintain a good working relationship between warehouse staff.

Salary £28,000 - £32,000 Dependant upon experience
