Pertemps Didcot are currently looking for a Drivers Mate to work for our client based near Abingdon.
Your daily duties will include:
- Delivering, installing and recovering temporary roadways using a truck mounted crane.
- To assist drivers with manoeuvring.
- Helping assist driver with end client.
- Assisting with installing and removing mats.
- Must have a full car (manual) driving licence.
- Must be happy with being away from home for potentially the full week.
- Follow exact direction.
- Knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (crane).
- Able to adhere to stringent Health and Safety working practices.
- Positive attitude.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record heck and drug/alcohol screen.
- Accommodation paid for when working away.
- Opportunities to gain HGV Class 1.
- Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work in all weather conditions.
- 6am start time. The finish time can be varied depending on the workload.
- Flexibility with the work schedule (days, nights occasional weekends).
