The Job:In this role, you will work closely with the Animal Sciences team to ensure the effective implementation of health and hygiene solutions within the dairy. You will assist the distribution partners in providing livestock solutions and supporting customers with technical expertise in animal sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of health and hygiene programs on livestock farms, ensuring the well-being of animals and high standards of operation.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to animal health, milk production, and farm management.
- Provide technical support and advice to our distributors who support dairy farmers on the best practices for animal care, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Help in the development and implementation of biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases in dairy herds.
- Attend regular visits and meetings with distribution partners who support dairy farm facilities to assist in better hygiene, reduced costs and enhanced animal welfare.
- Work closely with distributors to provide training and guidance on the effective use of health and hygiene treatments and products.
- Compile reports, including findings, recommendations, and technical support for clients along with coordinating case studies and testimonials.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in animal science, dairy farming practices, and industry regulations.
About You:
- Previous experience in animal sciences, dairy farming, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of dairy farm operations, animal health, and hygiene protocols.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and advise clients effectively.
- IT skills to include Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, biosecurity standards, and animal welfare practices in the UK is an advantage.
- A passion for animal welfare and improving practices within the dairy industry.
Salary:Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE) plus commission
Hours:8.00am to 4.00pm
