Supported Internship Instructor (Permanent/Full-Time)Location: RadstockContract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

We are excited to support a highly regarded education provider in Radstock in recruiting a Supported Internship Instructor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of young people with SEND on Supported Internships by providing workplace support, engaging with employers, and creating realistic employment opportunities.

The successful candidate will work closely with Job Coaches and other stakeholders to deliver an outstanding provision for both students and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support for Job Coaches: Assist Job Coaches in maintaining high-quality provision and outcomes for learners with SEND.
  • Employer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with employers to develop meaningful employment opportunities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of job coaching support, learner progress, working hours, and any challenges that arise.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Represent the provider in partnerships with students, employers, and parents/carers, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Curriculum Integration: Liaise with internal teams to align employer needs with student training, including supporting literacy and numeracy development.
  • Access to Work: Assist learners with their Access to Work applications.
  • General Support: Participate in student assessments, interviews, inductions, and open days as required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual with:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Knowledge of sensory-based learning environments within Foundation Learning Provision.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
