Location: Melton Mowbray – LE14

Hours: 32 hours per week between Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm (Flexible 4 or 5 days per week)

Salary: Up to £27K

Purpose of the Recruitment and HR Officer role:

As a Recruitment & HR Officer, you will coordinate all aspects of recruitment across the business, ensuring we attract top talent while providing a professional HR service to employees. Acting as an ambassador for our people policies, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our workforce and enhancing the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Recruitment and HR Officer role:

  • Work closely with department heads to manage vacancies and recruitment needs.
  • Research and utilise new advertising channels to attract diverse talent.
  • Build relationships with job centres, schools, and colleges to develop talent pipelines.
  • Maintain and expand a candidate database, planning creative vacancy alerts.
  • Assist the Recruitment Team with their hiring processes.
  • Organise and attend recruitment events and job fairs as a brand ambassador.
  • Understanding the operational requirements within departments and adapting HR practices to ensure they are proactively working in line with best practice.
  • Providing accurate and timely administrative support to all other transactional HR processes.
  • Assisting with HR project work to develop the HR Department.
  • Regularly meeting with Heads of Departments, in respect of retention, performance, conduct and wellbeing/absence within their teams.
  • Researching and keeping up to date with all on-line recruitment sites, making suggestions for advertising.

Requirements and desirables of the Recruitment and HR Officer:

  • Proven recruitment experience, preferably within a hospitality environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong skills in technology, including experience of a HRIS
