We're recruiting a Deputy Manager for a small, well-established 3-bed children's home in Rainham, Essex, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

What you'll be doing:


  • Supporting the Registered Manager in daily operations

  • Leading, mentoring, and supervising the care team

  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures

  • Building trusted relationships with children, families, and external professionals

  • Taking the lead in the Registered Manager's absence


What we're looking for:


  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) - Level 5 a bonus!

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential children's care setting

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and care regulations

  • Confident leadership skills and a calm, caring approach

  • A natural role model who leads with empathy, consistency, and respect
