Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment while the regular teacher is absent, ensuring students are engaged and following the academy's behaviour and discipline policies.
  • Oversee students during lessons, breaks, and transitions, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist students with questions and provide guidance on the lesson content, helping them stay on track with their studies.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance, behaviour incidents, and other relevant information.
  • Create a welcoming classroom where everyone feels respected and valued, reflecting the academy's values.
  • Know and follow all emergency protocols to ensure a safe learning environment for students

Requirements:

  • A recently updated Enhanced child DBS or willingness to obtain a new one
  • Required eligibility for employment in the UK
  • Prior experience in interacting with children
  • Sound expertise in working with children at Secondary School with KS3 and KS4.
  • Exceptional aptitude for managing student behaviour
  • Diligent work ethic and professional demeanour
  • Optimistic approach towards continuous learning
