Randstad Education is seeking a Religious Education and Social Sciences Teacher. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive, stimulating learning environment and share the high expectations of achievement for all students. You will teach RE and sociology to the students of our client school.

Requirements

  • QTS/QTLS/PGCE is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum
  • A proven record of successful teaching in an 11-16 school
  • A proven track record of recent and successful class teaching in an 11-16 school
  • Good Subject Knowledge of Social Sciences and Religious Education(RE)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic RE and Sociology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • The ability to interest, encourage and engage students
  • Secure high standards of behaviour
  • Understanding of effective strategies for maintaining high standards of discipline within the classroom
  • Enable students to develop the skills to work independently and collaboratively
