About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Tutor to work with a bright and energetic young person with a diagnosis of autism. The student presents complex speech, language, and social communication challenges aligned with his diagnosis. He is also sensory-seeking and thrives on physical activity, making this a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised speech and language therapy plans tailored to the students needs.
  • Foster the development of social communication skills through structured and creative approaches.
  • Incorporate physical and sensory-based activities to support engagement and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with students family and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress, adapting strategies as needed.

About You:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or young adults with autism and complex communication needs.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration and the ability to incorporate sensory activities into therapy.
