Office Administrator/Bookkeeper - Job Description :-

Bookkeeping :

  • Using Computerised accounts using Sage 50 Software
  • Preparation of Sales Invoices in conjunction with the Sales Book and Stocktake -
  • Assist with maintaining all Purchase Ledger Invoices
  • Post Bank & Cash Transactions
  • Journals where appropriate
  • Assistance with Weekly Payroll
  • Use of Card Terminal machine for incoming payments
  • Scrap Metal self billing Invoices and all supporting records
  • Cash - Petty Cash & Credit Card statements
  • Assist Accountant with Ad Hoc duties.

Office Administrator/Bookkeeper - Office Administration

  • Haulage Vehicles - collection of Scrap - Weighbridge verification and documentation
  • Casual Scrap records in accordance with government regulations
  • Ordering office & Yard supplies
  • Attend to all visiting customers and representatives
  • Maintenance of records appertaining to Export & Import controls - shipping notes CMR’s etc
  • Maintenance of records as regards End of Life Vehicles - Reporting to DVLA via their Cod system.
  • Maintain own Fleet records for all Trucks and car Fleets
  • Draft letters where appropriate and telephone answering.
  • All ad hoc duties as delegated

Office Administrator - Preferred Experience:

  • Competence with Sage Accounting
  • Bookkeeping and general knowledge
  • Office Administration using word & Excel
  • Flexible attitude

Anticipated Working Hours 9.30 - 5pm - To be discussed
