Are you an experienced Machine Operator with a solid background in manufacturing and at least three years of experience in engineering?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Machine Operator to join our client’s renowned team in Ramsgate. This full-time role offers the chance to work with a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, committed to innovation and quality, and offering a competitive salary package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and Train: Guide team members on machine operations, focusing on skills development and safety practices.
- Precision Machining: Perform tasks such as precision grinding, honing, boring, milling, CNC turning, and bush/bearing fitting on various components.
- Support Operations: Assist the Machine Shop Cell Leader and Manager in fulfilling daily operational needs and achieving production targets.
- Stock and Maintenance: Monitor stock levels of bonded metal and consumables and assist in scheduled and preventative machine maintenance.
- Quality and Deadlines: Ensure strict adherence to production deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to foster a customer-focused and results-driven environment.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential Qualifications: Recognised engineering qualifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an engineering role, preferably within aviation.
- Technical Skill: Preferably have had experience on a grinding machine (not app)
- Technical Expertise: Proficient with hand tools and measuring instruments, with hands-on experience in precision grinding, milling, honing, and CNC operations.
- Team Player: Strong collaborative skills, especially in demanding, customer-centric environments.
- IT Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
