We’re working with a leading aerospace company known for its innovation, precision, and commitment to safety. They’re on the lookout for a skilled NDT Technician to join their dynamic team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of aircraft components.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) on a wide range of aircraft components.
- Perform regular control checks (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure consistent and reliable testing procedures.
- Support the maintenance and function of plant equipment, ensuring all NDT machinery operates efficiently.
- Assist with stock level monitoring of consumables, helping to ensure testing operations run smoothly.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with 5S standards.
- Collaborate with the SOP Engineer to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local instructions.
- Aid in machine maintenance tasks (both preventative and scheduled) to prevent downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all EASA, FAA, and company quality standards, as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Requirements:
- EN4179 certification in Non-Destructive Testing - Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI).
- Proven experience in an NDT environment, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturers' overhaul and repair manuals.
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
