Universal Machinist
Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our MPBU Machine Shop, where you will play a crucial role in the overhaul and salvage of components.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of machining tasks such as Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, and fitting of Bush/Bearing components.
- Aid in monitoring and managing stock levels of bonded metals and consumable items.
- Participate in the implementation of shop floor improvement initiatives.
- Uphold stringent quality standards in all machining operations.
- Promote and maintain a culture focused on Continuous Improvement and exemplary housekeeping.
- Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies
- Proficient in both numeracy and literacy, with a minimum qualification of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
- Friday: 08:00 - 15:45
