Job Purpose
To work within and support the Machine Shop with aircraft component overhaul and salvage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake machining tasks to support the overhaul of aircraft components including Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, Bush/Bearing Fitting.
- Assist, as required with the monitoring of stock levels for bonded metal and consumables.
- Support the implementation of improvement initiatives within the MPBU Machine Shop.
- Ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support and promote a culture of Continuous Improvement and housekeeping.
- Support with the maintenance of plant and equipment.
Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
- Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
