Job Purpose

To efficiently and effectively support the day-to-day operation of the Logistics and Stores section, undertaking logistic tasks under the direction of the Logistics & Stores Supervisor.

Logistics

  • Unload, unpack & distribute goods to the Business Units ensuring delivery & collection between FPBU & MPBU.
  • Raise MPBU/FPBU workorders and all relevant paperwork. Undertake computer data entry and filing as required.
  • Participate in customer delivery and collections and arranging deliveries and collections with customers/forwarders.
  • Maintain/control warehouse and content i.e. repair and modify customer crates as required.
  • Book daily collections with courier services on-line i.e. DHL/FedEx etc.
  • Book in commercial orders i.e. Consumables and distribute to correct department.
  • Wrap and pack aviation components for despatch
  • Control Fleet Vehicle maintenance requirements and carry out regular checks
  • Deliver and collect customer goods within the UK, twice weekly run to Gloucester and others as required

Stores

  • Book in commercial and approved spares
  • Allocate spares in order to produce pick tickets for quoting purpose
  • Print and prepare pick tickets for actual picking of spares for workshops
  • Pick spares and distribute to correct workshop
  • Book materials i.e. metals to work orders
  • Control and distribute approved consumables
  • Regular PI counts
  • Shelf life checks and appropriate disposal of shelf life expired goods
  • Deal with enquiries from Customer Support and workshop

General

  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with EASA, FAA and Company procedures
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Computer literate - competent applying microsoft office suite (essential)
  • Experience of operating a fork lift (essential)
  • Logistics and stores experience (desirable)
  • Prior involvement and awareness of export control regulations UK and overseas, applying and verifying regulatory documentation (desirable)
  • Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English (essential)
  • Hold a clean UK driving licence (essential)
