Job Title: Site Manager
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Ramsgate
Day Rate: £250 - £275 per day depending on experience
Client: A Regional Contractor who specialise in Education, Healthcare, Industrial units and refurbishment schemes.
Project: A new build 2 storey industrial unit and extension to an existing building that will facilitate a new car showroom and offices. Work will also include all internal fit out
I am looking for a number 1 Site Manager who can oversee the construction of a steel frame 2 story unit a which will facilitate offices as well as extension and refurbishment of a car showroom where works will include curtain walling.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance on site at all times to the company health and safety standards and processes
- Co-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme
- Manage material levels on site to ensure the minimum amount of stock but enough to ensure the site programme is met and all labour is efficiently employed.
- Undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections at the correct timings, and rectifying any defects so as not to incur additional cost, time delays to the programme, or reduction in the final quality.
- Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism.
- Overseeing Subcontractors and delivering tool box talks as well as weekly progress meetings
- Liaising with the client
- Reporting to a Visiting Contracts Manager
Requirements :
- At least 5 years experience working as a number 1 Site Manager who can demonstrate a time when you have delivered a scheme from conception through to completion
- SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management would be advantageous
- Working on a similar role in the past
