We’re seeking an Engineering Team Leader to lead an innovative team focused on both New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining Engineering activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced component MRO business, developing and improving repair processes and managing new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a dynamic engineering team, overseeing projects from concept to delivery.
  • Drive repair, overhaul, and development of aerospace and industrial components.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Innovate and improve repair processes while managing new product introductions.
  • Ensure all projects meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years in an engineering role, ideally within MRO or aerospace (highly desirable).
  • Line management experience and team leadership skills (essential).
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aircraft components (highly desirable).
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and failure investigations (8D, 5 Why, FMEA).
  • Proven expertise in test tooling and rig design (highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and documentation (essential).
  • Familiarity with 2D & 3D CAD (Fusion 360) and FEA software (highly desirable).
  • Experience in New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering, with a track record of on-time, within-budget project delivery (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, CAA/EASA & FAA Part 145 standards and regulations (essential).
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline (HNC/HND with extensive experience is acceptable).
  • Solid knowledge of safe working practices and EHS requirements.
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to navigate cultural differences and communicate technical information to different audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and project planning skills, able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Self-motivated, cost-focused, and innovative, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office, CAD, and other IT systems.
