Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Aerospace & Defence | Ramsgate, Kent | Competitive Salary | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems? Join a leading Aerospace & Defence Manufacturer in Ramsgate, Kent, and play a critical role in maintaining state-of-the-art machinery and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

Our client, a globally recognised name in the aerospace sector, is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support their operations. If you're experienced in fault finding, repairs, and preventive maintenance, this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical fault finding on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding, and boring machines.
  • Conduct machine strip downs and rebuilds for preventive maintenance.
  • Carry out mechanical installations, including pipe fitting and machinery moves.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults on single and three-phase systems.
  • Complete electrical installations, including panel building and PAT testing.
  • Program PID temperature controllers and ensure safe isolation and lockout procedures.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and escalate faults as necessary.
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors on maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Manage spare parts and assist with ordering to minimise downtime.
  • Work out-of-hours as required to support critical maintenance and projects.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance or repair engineer role within a high-tech or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems (single and three-phase).
  • Fabrication experience, machinery repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Familiarity with CAD, MS Office, and MS Project software.
