Key Responsibilities as a Physical Education Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting a love for physical activity.
  • Encourage participation in both team and individual sports, fostering confidence and inclusivity.
  • Organise and support extra-curricular activities, including school teams and sports events.
  • Promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through physical education.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement within the classroom and on the field.

Requirements for the Role of Physical Education Teacher:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE in secondary schools, with knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • A passion for promoting fitness and physical education as a vital part of learning.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
