Learning Support Assistant - Ramsgate

Tradewind are working with a Primary school in Ramsgate, recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant working with children with SEN in Reception. This will be on a full-time basis and is currently shortlisting now to start immediately.

The school has onsite parking and is easily accessible via public transport. They have ambitious aspirations for the children and foster encouragement and excellence in their school life. They are committed to giving the children the tools they need to learn and be supported in their school journey. They have been graded Outstanding by Ofsted with special attention given to the enthusiasm of the pupils and the effective strategies the school employs to support children with SEN.

The Role

  • Working primarily with children with SEN in Reception as a Learning Support Assistant.
  • SEN needs themselves range from SEMH, ASD, ADHD and Behavioural Needs.
  • Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
  • Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant would be highly desirable.
  • Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
  • Experience working with Young Offenders or in an Intervention role is highly desirable.
  • Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Must have right to work in the UK
