Surveyor Manager

Our client, specialising in bespoke lift refurbishment and manufacturing from minor cosmetic refurbishments to full lift car replacements. Their services include both the design and manufacturing of lift interiors as well as complete lift cars, ensuring the highest quality from survey to on-site installation across the UK.

They are now looking for a Surveyor Manager to handle site surveys and quality inspections. From measuring and surveying lift interiors to designing layouts for the cosmetic elements (i.e. handrails, mirrors etc) and overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure precision. As the Surveyor Manager you will use 2D and 3D CAD software, to create technical drawings for the manufacturing team and conduct on-site quality checks.

Firstly, what's in it for you?

Surveyor Manager

Responsibilities

  • Survey lift interiors, including precise measurements for handrails, panels, and other cosmetic components.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and surveys for the manufacturing team to produce.
  • Oversee the quality control of onsite fitting teams, ensuring all work meets the required standards.
  • Manage projects from minor refurbishments to the full supply of new lift cars, including both cosmetic interiors and lift body manufacturing.
  • Travel to client sites, primarily across the South of England, to conduct surveys and monitor installations.
  • Always ensure compliance with safety guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Attend sales meetings where necessary, with opportunities to earn commission on contracts secured.

Requirements

  • Previous experience surveying in the lift industry (desirable, not essential)
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, installation techniques, and methods of construction
  • The role will involve splitting time between site surveys and quality assurance inspections, so a willingness to travel round to sites is essential
  • Full UK driving license
