We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity at one of our client schools in the Rayleigh area of Essex.

We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to join our client primary school as soon as possible. This rewarding role involves providing both academic and pastoral support to a pupil with additional learning needs. We are open to applications from experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs), as well as enthusiastic graduates with relevant experience in supporting students with special educational needs.

If you have experience of supporting any any of the following special educational needs, this would be advantageous.

  • ADHD
  • Asperger Syndrome
  • Autism (ASD)
  • Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD / EBD)
  • Challenging Behaviour
  • Global Development Delay (GDD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality support to a student with additional learning needs
  • Acting as a positive role model, providing encouragement and boosting confidence.
  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of learning activities.
  • Supporting with classroom preparation and general school duties.
